I was glad to see the Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 digital camcorder. I personally like mini-camcorders, and this was one that I haven’t had a chance to write about yet. It does not shoot HD video, but records at full 640×480 resultion at 60 files per second. The one great feature that stands out to me, is that it’s waterproof! So in a way, it’s similar to a POV camcorder where you can take it anywhere, but it’s not a true POV since you can mount it (well.. you probably could if you wanted to). This camcorder is also a 8MP digital camera as well, which is conveninent.

Currently at Amazon, they’re offering this camera for $169.99 (down from $199.99) which saves you 15% on this purchase. This is limited to the blue camera only.
