Okay.. I know this isn’t a ‘camcorder’ per se, but you can take some video with it. I’m just super stoked on this offer.I just bought this camera after doing some extensive research on my own over the last two weeks. This is the Canon EOS Rebel XSi DSLR. I’ve been searching for one for a while, and after some debating between the XS vs. XSi, I decided to go with the higher MP camera (also with additional features).

The reason I’m writing about this deal is that Amazon has an AWESOME deal on this camera right now.  It normally lists at $699, but is on sale for $598, but if you buy the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS telephoto zoom lens at the time of purchase (normally lists for $399), you get instant savings of $200. So to make a long story short, I bought the camera and lense which would normally cost around $1000 for only $638!!!! I’ve looked for this camera and found it locally in the $600 – $700 range locally. The camera also comes with a EF-S 18-55mm, f3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens. I was glad to see the Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 digital camcorder. I personally like mini-camcorders, and this was one that I haven’t had a chance to write about yet. It does not shoot HD video, but records at full 640×480 resultion at 60 files per second. The one great feature that stands out to me, is that it’s waterproof! So in a way, it’s similar to a POV camcorder where you can take it anywhere, but it’s not a true POV since you can mount it (well.. you probably could if you wanted to). This camcorder is also a 8MP digital camera as well, which is conveninent.

Currently at Amazon, they’re offering this camera for $169.99 (down from $199.99) which saves you 15% on this purchase. This is limited to the blue camera only.
