Seems like it has to have built in image stabilization for it to be at all effective. Another intersting POV camera is the GoPro. It&#039;s not HD, but the price is right.

		<description>I&#039;ve seen this sort of thing in use on TV sports, e.g. skiing, motocross, but hadn&#039;t seen a consumer version before. The video looks pretty smooth, though I can&#039;t find any mention of built-in stabilization.

It shoots 720p, like the Flip HD camcorders, and also has a widescreen VGA option. It would seem to be clearly superior for helmet-mount and similar footage, at about a $80-100 premium over Flip.  Without a viewscreen, it wouldn&#039;t be particularly good for other uses.

I might point out that it comes with a 2 GIGAbyte SD card (not 2 Megabyte, as stated above.)  And it will accept up to 16GB.
